Bougainvillea would like to thank the M.A.G.A. for withstanding the rain today and toughing it out on the course. The first 9 holes was fine but boy they dealt with the cold and rain for the 2nd 9. They are a super organization and play golf around the valley. Look them up if you're looking for a solid group of friendly golfers that love to compete and have fun!
Sign up for our e-mail specials. Next special is coming up soon for St. Patrick's Day. We would love to see everyone out at the course over the coming weeks and month's.

Golf Courses for Groups on a Budget
The golf courses that are great for small groups of golfers are the ones that offer all the needs for a group outing but do so without the unnecessary frills. Bougainvillea Golf Club is a golf course ideal for the small group! We have wonderful golf course and top of the line food but don't provide it with all the frills. Our golf course and food can provide all the flare if it is desired but if you're a group is on a budget why pay for something you don't need. When you play other golf courses that are higher end that's A LOT of what you're paying for.
It reminds me of the Buffalo Wild Wings commercial as it progresses with a wing order from another brand name food purveyor. Presumably BWW is comparing their pricing to Friday's. Our golf course is similar when comparing it to other $75-$150 golf courses. Just food for thought for your next group outing!
Thanks for reading and please post your comments.

Woods was no Choke
I can't believe people are even suggesting the Woods choked. When he missed the 6 footer on #18 in the 3rd rounds you knew he was vulnerable. The YX just played out of his mind on the final round. Chipping in on 14, gutty shot on 18, that worked out, and he made plenty of other great shots. YX was in the zone and that was the only man that was going to beat Tiger besides Tiger himself. Tiger just didn't seem to have the edge he normally does in that situation but that's far from choking. A choke is defined by vanpelt or norman rember those chokes. I know choking because I've done it..who hasn't...Tiger...yeah, maybe when he was a kid. The choke is mental and it prohibits you from relaxing and making the swing, chip, putt etc. You think about the outcome and what it means and you think about the future and try to project it with "If I can only"...then you choke.

Golf Poem
The following poem was sent to me from a golfing friend. I thought it was pretty neat so I'd like to share it with you all.
Golf Poem
In My Hand I Hold A Ball,
White And Dimpled, Rather Small.
Oh, How Bland It Does Appear,
This Harmless Looking Little Sphere.
By Its Size I Could Not Guess,
The Awesome Strength It Does Possess.
But Since I Fell Beneath Its Spell,
I've Wandered Through The Fires Of Hell.
My Life Has Not Been Quite The Same,
Since I Chose To Play This Stupid Game.
It Rules My Mind For Hours On End,
A Fortune It Has Made Me Spend.
It Has Made Me Yell, Curse And Cry,
I Hate Myself And Want To Die.
It Promises A Thing Called Par,
If I Can Hit It Straight And Far.
To Master Such A Tiny Ball,
Should Not Be Very Hard At All.
But My Desires The Ball Refuses,
And Does Exactly As It Chooses.
It Hooks And Slices, Dribbles And Dies,
And Even Disappears Before My Eyes.
Often It Will Have A Whim,
To Hit A Tree Or Take A Swim.
With Miles Of Grass On Which To Land,
It Finds A Tiny Patch Of Sand.
Then Has Me Offering Up My Soul,
If Only It Would Find The Hole.
It's Made Me Whimper Like A Pup,
And Swear That I Will Give It Up.
And Take To Drink To Ease My Sorrow,
But The Ball Knows...I'll Be Back Tomorrow.

Monday Madness
You should have seen the suprised faces today in the golf shop. It was great when people actually got to play for $2. I threw some online specials on the Bougainvillea website at www.bvgolf.net and bam people couldn't pass on the rate. Frankly it wasn't intended to be with cart but that's the way it went. Play Wednesday for $4.99. There is NO WAY you will find a better deal EVER! The course is in great shape and you might actually make a few birdies with our 6 par 5's.
See you soon.
See you soon.
